Can you be more specific? Are you saying it actually changes parameters
within the amt8 device, and if so which? Or are you simply saying that
the amt8 broadcasts the incoming data to all MIDI ports?

If it's the latter, then it may be by design. The AN1xEdit data is sent
as channel independent System Exclusive data. It may be that the amt8 is
designed to broadcast sysex on all ports (or there is some switch in the
unit that provides this mode). It seems a strange thing to do, but
should cause any problems (beyond needlessly consuming bandwidth!)

Subject: [AN1x-list] Emagic amt8 and An1x and An1xEdit

Is anyone using there An1x with an Emagic AMT8?

I'm having a problem with the editor software broadcasting the edit
information on all the midi devices. It is odd, when I change a
control on the An1xEdit software, it changes the setting of the amt8.
I can watch the midi activity lights and all the outputs light up
when I changes the cutoff (in the editor) for example.

Thanks,
Steve
