I'm not real up on Cubase but I'd hazard a guess that either 1) note
events are unintentionally being filtered (you should check your
preference settings for MIDI) or 2) there is a keyboard thru parm in
Cubase that is set incorrectly and notes are not being correctly
"thru'd" to the AN1x.

I wouldn't think so but I haven't followed much news in regards to
Reason.
