ACtually, you don´t have to use a PC to use both Modulars. The Micro
Modular is of course limited with editing, but the Nord Modular(key
or rack doesn´t matter) can be edited easily by zillions of knobs and
buttons. Let´s say you have programmed a 6-Osc´s synth with LFO,
Arps, stepsequencer etc. and assigned all knobs properly, then you
can edit sounds on it (900+ sounds saveable...(MM = 99)) without
using the PC. That´s why i love my MM. I upload some Vocoder and
Filter patches, take the little red hot riding box (size of a usual
VHS-Tape) and let´s say my An1x with me on the road, and i am
done...;)

p.s. by the way, i played today in a store with the DX/AN200...the
AN...well that´s my AN1x, nice analogue sounds...the DX...GREAT!
I love it, i have to get one. Instant fun was it to tweak those pling-
plang FM-sounds. That was what i missed about my FS1r...the
spontaneous tweaking. Sure it had four knobs, but still the DX200 is
way much more fun. I hope they will put the FS1r one day in a box
like the DX200...maybe a DX800, together with a better software-
editor...THAT would be cool!
