No exageration here - both the Nord Mod and Micor Mod are a lot of
synth for the money. I neraly changed my mind on the spot and bought
the Micrp Mod instead of the MW II I'd gone shopping for ;-) And it
would sit so nicely on the right hand side of the AN1x face plate too!
Right Thomas ;-)
IMO, there are some pro's and con's to the Micro Mod - running it along
side your sequencer environment will require twice as many MIDI In/Out
connections. One pair dedicated for the SysEx editor and another pair
dedicated for MIDI Note and CC events. This means your MIDI Interface/
Patch bay will need to accomodate - could be a hidden cost if your not
already using a 8x8 :-/ Also, depending on your experience, this could
be a headache to set-up and make work reliably. On the plus side, it
will sound great without consuming any CPU resources as a softsynth
equivalent would, i.e., Reaktor or Dynamo. And you wouldn't have to
deal with ASIO drivers and latency issues.
