The Alesis keys and modules have a wave called "Tape String" that in of
itself is a little too strident, but mixed with stock strings makes a
killer Mellotron. I use an S4, but I think many of the others have the
same wave. My band does a couple of tunes that spotlight the Mellotron,
and the S4 comes through nicely.
