Hi Dan,
Yes, in fact there are couple of ways you can do this, depending on what
you want to achieve.
The easiest way of doing this is using AN1xEdit....so I will explain in
those terms.
1) Direct control of effect send
You can change the controller value that the ribbon or wheels produce so
that they directly control Reverb Send, Delay Send or Variation D/W send
levels. To do this click on the menu dial for the appropriate controller
in the system area of An1xEdit and choose the relevant effect send item
from the menu.
2) Matrix Control of Variation D/W effect Send
If you want to keep your ribbon/wheels as they are, but also force them
to alter the Variation D/W send level, you can use the Control Matrix.
Switch to the Matrix page and select the control device from the SOURCE
menu of one of the Matrix items. Then select the PARAMETER value to be
VAREF D.W. You can also adjust the depth knob to meet your requirements.
3) Effect Parameter control
Again using the Matrix page you will see that there are two COMMON
matrix items. You can use these to control actual parameters of an
effect (rather than just the send level). To understand which specific
parameter of an effect is controllable, you will need to refer to the
AN1x Data List manual, Effect Parameter List tables (see Page 6). Within
each table there is a column headed CTRL MATRIX and an entry marked
COMMON. This is the parameter you can control. So for example with WAH
effect you can control the Cutoff Frequency, whilst for Rotary Speaker
you can control the Speed!
To setup the parameter control, select the source device (ribbon etc)
from the SOURCE menu of either of the Matrix Common items. Then select
VAR, DLY or REV PARAM as the Parameter, finally adjust the Depth knob to
get the desired effect.
Cool huh?

AN1x-list@yahoogroups.comSubject: [AN1x-list] Newbie Question: wheels and ribbons
Hello all,
So I just got my hands on the AN1X and I've been
having lots of fun figuring this thing out...I figured
this list might help me with a question or two...
Is there a way to have the Ribbon controller or the wheels
control some effects like Wah and rtryspkr??
Thanks in advance...
