Hi Peter,
Having just picked up a second-hand K5000S, I must say I'm delighted by it.
It was a toss up between the K5000S or the AN1x a couple of years ago, and
at the time I went with the AN1x. The AN1x is possibly more versatile, but
the K5000S absolutely excels in producing pads. It also has a superb
keyboard action, thoughtfully laid out LARGE LCD, and the best styling this
side of the... er, AN1x.
Nest stop, the FS1r!
Phil

I wouldn't mind an FS1r, because it offers a lot of interesting sounds and
possibilities. I'm not really into the weirder kinds of synthesis: for
instance, I decided not to buy a K5000S, although I'll probably regret it,
and not regret it, for the rest of my life.
