Subject: Re: [AN1x-list] AN200 as a drumcomputer?

Hi
i have to disagree with you.
Among other drum systems I also own the ER-1
it is not 'thin' at all and I love the fact that it looks like a toy.
if it sounded thin to you, you have one of these 2 problems:
1. very Bad Audio setup ( Mixer,Cables,Monitors)
2. Very bad programming tricks.
on my setup I have to lower the Bass EQ many times,
and I use Meyer Sound HD-1 as my Mains.

also,
I use a real cheap Analog drum machine called
the DR-110 by Roland/Boss
and I built a long time ago an external switch box ( 30 knobs) to control
the sound's shape and color .
you get the sound and sample it to your sample
or Just program it live/step.
It does have now a Sync option too.
It sounds much better than any VA out there
but If you want Digital, get the ER-1 and learn how to use it.

What I mean is, after reading the list of drummachines I've had a look at, do you think I could find what I'm looking for in the AN200?? It should do punching KICKS, sharp SNARES, nice HHs, CYMBALS, ... the whole thing. I would rather not go for a sampler if that's what you would advise me.
