Subject: About AN200

I've tried to use the AN200 in a store. I spent half an hour twisting
knobs, changing the settings of the internal presets and tryng the
MULTISAW algorythm. I must admit the AN200 sounds good, but I
realized that it can't be compared with my AN1x.
I produce Dance music and I like very much to use fat leads im my
music so I use also a JP8000, that you can recognize in a lot of
actuals italian productions.
I was thinking to swap this one or the AN1x for the new AN200 but I
realized it is just an "all in one" box.
I don't want to say it isn't good for people who is looking exactly
that ... but the limited polyphony when I tryed the UNISON mode or
the MULTISAW mode (that work only in MONO mode), the lack of the
possibility to operate directly on all the parameters (maybe except
using the editor) made me thinking to give up the idea!
Also, after several months I hold my keyboards, I tried and I made
with my AN1x some really 100% imitations of JP8000 typical leads just
working with the algorithms of one voice, without NO effects (like
chorus) and this sound better and fatter than JP!!!
It's really fantastic! I was thinking I could not separate from the
JP8000 leads and now I found this one sounding like a "pile of glass"
compared with the AN1x!
So at the last I suggest, if you already got a An1x, to hold on with
this one to the infinity, because it can surprise you every time you
ask it something.
Bye!
