U must use a patch manager like Sound Diver in your PC.
With Sound Diver u can build your custom libraries like pads, bass, hard bass, etc., find a sound using search criterias from one or all libraries, preview a sound with a single mouse click and dump it if u like it.
I find Sound Diver the best way to easy access edit, and cataloge the thousand of sounds that are available to the an1x.
By the way u can easy edit your sounds with the advatage of a 19' display, edit seqs steps easy and draw the free eg with the mouse.
Regards and sorry by my english.
G. Bravetti
Pt. u can use AN1x edit too and is free, but i like more Sound Diver.

Subject: [AN1x-list] NOT EnouGF!!!
Sorry about this gripe, but I'd like to ask if anyone has a solution to the
problem of ONLY 128 PATCHES in the AN1x? Novices beware --- but for the
extreme possibilities this synth is capable of, 128 patches is not nearly
enough for the composing musician to really use all of this synth. (OK, I
realize with "scenes" there are 256 patches, but usually the scenes are used
to vary parameters, not for a completely different sound.)
Is there a simple way to load a new bank up live?
