For those of you who are interested, I understand that Yamaha will post new
drivers for the SW1K and DS2416 on the XG Factory site tomorrow.
http://www.xgfactory.comThe new drivers are the long awaited Win2000 support. specifically :-
- Win2K WDM driver
- Win2K ASIO driver
Also for those of you still operating in the dark ages of Win9x/Me and using
Hubis Hwmdcable with XGedit/An1xEdit (particularly to overcome sysex thru
problems in VST or Logic). You should be aware that versions of Hubis after
v2.3 (the one on my site) have hidden settings for controlling the size of
sysex buffers. In order for AN sysex to be passed correctly the buffer size
must be at least 1024bytes. If you are experiencing problems I would advise
you either to downgrade to Hubis v2.3 or to experiment with the Hubi
settings in your WIN.INI file.
You will find the Hubi settings in WIN.INI as follows:
