This is probably a long shot, but I'm lucky enough to have access to one.
I use a set of v-drums. I can transmit cc#4, #16, #17, or mod from the
hi-hat pedal. I COULD use one of these for pitch bend. The only problem
that I have with it is that there is a limited motion in the pedal, and when
it hits "bottom" it sends out a g#. It's functional, but limited. I would
think that you could pass a pedal from a number of other units and force it
to tranmit midi cc, rather than a predefined pedal function, like voume, or
switch on/off. Another example would be using a pedal with a POD. Since I
can control the wahwah on the POD with my drum brain hooked up to it via
midi and using the HH pedal, I can only imagine that it passes through there
as cc data. POD pedals also probably have a lot more movement range, as
wahwah needs to have a very contolled sound or it sounds like crap.
I don't know if you have ready access to any of these types of units, but
this worked for me, and only struck me in my sleep as an idea (not really,
but I thought it was a pretty creative one, anyway).
Hope that helps,
Blades
