2 op.= one carrier and one modulator... ( or 2 x 2 when in dual mode)
the 4 and 6 op have more operators that can be configured in many ways....a
nice way to experimanet with this is with the FM generator in Soundforge...I
made some excellent bass samples for my sampler with it..
