Okay, I've never used a Sound Blaster card myself so I can't speak from
experience but it seems to me many SB users have difficulties with the
built-in MIDI port on the SB Live.
I suggest you do a search of the list archive here at Yahoo!Groups for
'SoundBlaster' or 'Sound Blaster' and you find a couple dozen posts on
the topic. My advice: buy a proper, dedicated MIDI Interface with a few
extra ports that you can grow into.
