Yeah, I typically do two things: 1) I always check the Volume level
under the VCA. I typically adjust it upwards of 127 unless I've a
multi-oscillator / duel scene voice cranked through an effect with lots
of Gain. Then I'll take a few moments to adjust the VCA Volume
accordingly. I'll often leave it set around 117 to leave some headroom
for duel sounds.
2) Check the VCO1 and VCO2 Levels under MIX/VCF. I'd recommend
sticking to the VCA Volume whenever possible rather than (mal)adjust the
VCO balance levels. This is basically the difference between MIDI CC #7
(Volume) vs. MIDI CC #8 (Balance).
