Hey, weren't you the one who called himself a nazi? People don't
change, really.

If you're so keen on punching someone, just come to Malta and look
for the tallest person around.

No, I don't trust you, no offense meant.

My personal experience with Macs is that they crash at random
actions, like browsing the internet. Now both MacOS and Netscape
aren't commonly known to be cleanly written, so that's not very
surprising.

And hardly anyone spends USD 5000 on a computer. Most people have a
budget, and a PC generally offers more bang for the buck than a Mac.
This means, however, that you have a system of a lower overall
quality, simply because it's constructed out of cheaper components.
This has a direct effect on stability.

Take, for instance, some soundcards that don't work properly with an
AMD Athlon, because they work outside of the PCI spec; something they
can get away with on an Intel platform. And those soundcards aren't
even cheap.

But that was not what my mail was about, was it? The fact was that
someone was interested in a Mac, and that the immediate reply is "buy
a PC 'cause it's cheaper and faster, just look at that very high
number with Mhz behind it".

The Mac is more user friendly, and the GUI is definitely better
thought out. Some features I recognise from the Amiga (they were
called AppIcons there), but I've yet to see them on Windows.

Downloading a driver for your non-working network component is no fun.

At least MacOS the same OS, with a minimum version required for some
specific kind of software. It upgrades in a linear fashion.

If you're talking about Windows, do you mean 3.1, NT 3.51, 95, NT
4.0, 95 OSR2, 98, 98SE, 2000 or ME? With or without the desktop
upgrade, if applicable? Which service pack? Which version of IE?
Seven different OS's in about as many years is quite impressive.

Indeed the Mac vs. PC debate is silly, but so is agressively replying
without properly reading or understanding a mail.
