Phil, have you been listening to Groove Armada again? ;-) "If
everyboday looked the same, we'd grow tired of looking at each other."

Seriously, though. I've never seen anybody turn off their radio or not
buy a CD becuase of what software/hardware was used to record the
performance.

Oh, wait a minute, that's not entirely true...waaaaaaaaay back in the
early/mid 80's, when CDs were a new consumer item, I was running a
retail record store (anybody remember vinyl?) and we had a customer who
insisted that he was holding out for the release of a 'DDD' (Digital
Recording - Digital Mixing - Digital Mastering) version of a Pink Floyd
album - "Wish You Were Here" to be specific - on Compact Disc.

There was no persuading him that the 'AAD' (analog recording - analog
mixed and digitally mastered) was all she wrote. As far as he was
concerned Capitol records was going to digitally record and rerelease
'Wish You Were Here' - no two ways about it! No explanation of the
recording, mixing, and mastering process was sufficient to convince him
otherwise. ∗sigh∗ When someone is ∗that∗ convinced they're "right"
there's no opportunity to learn. A little misinformation goes a long
way...;-)
