Hi Joel,

So to say,if you have found "the ultimate" voice and you like to share it
with others
in the form of ∗∗.an1,then you have to send a whole bank with one ultimate and
127 initvoices total 220Kb.The simple form_.MID file or_.SysEx file is in
that case very
useful, mostly less in bytes. My experience is that on the WWW.you can find
lots of synth-
patches imbedded in banks in all kinds of formats due to the different editors
and that for PC and Mac.So I prefer in that case the universal .MID form.
BUT in this case I agree with you because there is the beautiful Yamaha
AN1xEdit 1.02
for free, for PC and Mac with saved bankdata interchangeable!Double klick on
the patch-
name sends this patch to both editmemory's,computer and synth.Select a
patch and <send>,
you overwrite the patch in the synth with the same number. As you already
should know.
Of course you can save single patchdata without a number as sysexfile in a
homemade lib.
I find all this not so important as the fact that we can share our work on
the AN1x.
So let's do that.
