I will disagree with you here. Yes, it's easier to
tweak and control with the sliders and knobs on the
JP, but I don't think it sounds any better than the
AN. I played a JP8000 last night in a local store and
to be honest, I prefer the sound of the AN over the
JP.
I wouldn't say 1 is a better synth over the other as
both have their strenghts, but the AN is definitely a
better value than the JP8000.
