Hi,
Yes it's true. I went to Guitar Center with my credit card and now I have
this little beast here at home trying it out. Was kind of hard in the
store with all the other noise going on. I'm trying to read the damn
manual. I fell asleep while doing so. I really hate these Yamaha manuals.
And why the bloody hell don't they have tutorials. That would be a huge
bonus in my opinion. Oh well. It's a pretty funky little gadget. Not sure
quite yet whether I'm going to keep it or not. While reading the manual
and not retaining much I might add I couldn't help but notice that the
pictures reminded me of some software trackers. I dunno why but they did.
Anyway...I'm all Yamaha' d out. Yamaha computer speakers, An1x,Cs2x, and
the Rm1x....Should I get anything else from Yamaha with the "X"
extension....hmmm... what's left ?.....at this rate I could become a
spokesman for Yamaha. Like they'd need another one. I should pick up an
old Yamaha drum machine I spotted one day in a used music shop which I
played with before long time ago...I think it was the RY10 or 30 or there
abouts....I remember feeding it through a Radio Shack graphic equalizer
and a reverb box out through a bass amp...sounded pretty destructive...oh
I forgot to mention the Boss Guitar Distortion pedal as well...that was
the destruction behind that actually...
I think once I try to get the hang of this Rm1x thingie it could have
that same potential...I hate some of the preset crap though as I'm not
really into all this house, electro, whatever the proper names are for
these sub genres which I've not kept up to date on. However, I like a few
groups who have "borrowed" from these into the industrial genre to make
it once more unique.
Hmmm....maybe what I really should have done was grab a bunch of old drum
machines, effects pedals, etc...chained 'em all together and screw this
new tech stuff... $699 for the Rm1x !!! ... phew ... that's enuff for
now ... I'll leave you guys to more important stuff...
Anybody else here like Numb as well ? There's another interesting group.
