Hi Billy !
it does not work properly ? Absolutely normal : the stock power supply is rated at 12 V AND 700 mA DC. 600 mA is not enough...
You can use any orphaned power supply from another device as far as it outputs 12 V and 700 mA or more, your 12V / 1amp supply should be OK and your synth be happy ...
If not (i assume the supply is OK..) check the backup battery inside (it keeps the RAM data "fresh" when the power is off): 3 V - CR 2450 type. If not , replace it.
Caution : don't try with a higher voltage value PSU (ie 15 V) this coud be catastrophic for the internal voltage regulators of the An1X !
You can perform a full factory reset and see what happens after.
But obviously all the previous user patches are scratched and replaced by the factory original patches.
If your synth needs a reset each time you turn it on to play normally, the battery is dead and gone...
Hope that it helps..
Regards.

Hi everyone, I need help with my Yamaha AN1X recently bought it on ebay and came with a power source KPA3 11.5v --- 600ma and when I play the preset change or tone or sound as if I was modulating the sounds but On the screen does not appear any message, is it because I do not have the original power supply? IS THIS PROBLEM COMBLE? I tried it with a power supply of 12v --- 1.0a and I had the same problem, I need help please, does anyone know which is the most suitable replacement power supply? That works well and where to buy it? I appreciate any reply. Greetings .
