Subject: Re: [AN1x] Replacement Knob Source Found!

Very cool, thanks. I've been looking for replacement knobs for my Roland JX-305 and it looks like these will work (shaft diameter and orientation of the "D"). Is there more information on what they look like in profile? Like where exactly the socket starts relative to the bottom of the "bell" or bottom of the knob? Any chance you can take a photo or describe it a little more? It seems like on the JX-305 you need a knob where the shaft socket starts flush (or a little below) with the bottom of the "bell." If the socket is recessed I don't think they will work.

Thanks for any info!

Want to replace the cheap plastic knobs on your AN1x? I've found a source that sells solid-feeling, correctly-oriented knobs made of hard rubber that fit snugly. This source generally sells to DJs who want to upgrade their mixer knobs to something more colorful, but they do fit the AN1x:

To order, select "First Select Your DJ Gear" and choose "Other/Select Manually" (the first option on the list) and then in the dropdown menu, choose the "Super Knob" type., then select the color (black or blue would work with the AN1x, or choose whatever you want)! You'll need 10 knobs for your AN1x, which comes to around $20, but it's a worthy investment if you want better-looking and feeling knobs.

I have no connection to this company; but I picked up two sample knobs for free at their NAMM show booth several years ago and currently use them on my AN1x (for the volume and edit matrix knobs. I just bought 8 for the parameters). Been looking for this company ever since then.
