Subject: AN1X as a sound module

Hey all,
I asked this already in a reply but I thought I might have better luck if it has it's own topic.
A little background; I have an AN1X with a few pots that don't work, so I've dismantled the whole unit. So the main board containing the processor, power supply, audio and midi inputs sits alone in a safe place with none of the control components harnessed into their respective slots.
I'm wondering if I can do one or both of two things. Provided I want no hands on control of the actual unit.
1. Will AN1XEdit pass on external midi data? Could I plug a midi interface into a computer with AN1X edit on it and plug that output into the AN1X, and then plug the interfaces input into the output and receive data from another sequencer and control the AN1X and edit parameters via AN1X edit?

2. Could I create a touchOSC template to control the main processor with the use or an OSC receiver plugged into my midi interface or even the midi input of the AN1X? Using the midi implementation chart, it shouldn't be hard to do right? Every parameter that is on the far right side of the AN1X that is controlled with the up/down switches should have a CC number right?

Sorry if this is confusing, it's a little confusing to me too but this is the kind of thing I live for. (Not confusing people, finding work arounds and making modifications)
Thanks in advance,
Clinton
