Good info! That random pan is the thing that I was noticing scattered in various rhythm tracks that I was looking for. I was able to get the whole individual rhythm tracks to pan via the front panel but that's as far as I got.

Are you using the editor on Win7?

Thanks for the tips. I'll have to look into this more!
