I'm finding my way around the interface much more smoothly than expected. However, one thing that seems simple that's got me stumped is Split Mode. I've read other threads here and used Google, and read the related sections of the manual multiple times - can't seem to find a clear reference.

So far I'm understanding that the two voices each need to be stored to their own scene. I've then tried assigning the layers for each to either dual or split, and I've tinkered with Keyboard Mode. All that I can successfully get is morphing to work with the modulation wheel, but the sound is still combined across the board, instead of being split.

Is there a way to actually do this with any sound you want, or am I misunderstanding the Split function? Am I merely misunderstanding the procedure itself?
