Hi, Richy

I too wish you well, and that you work through this. Positive outlook may not be the total cure, but I'm convinced that it has a huge factor in how people fare when faced with adversity.

I don't know if it will inspire you or not, but have you ever come across www.marce-music.com? I host this site on behalf of another synth friend of mine MarcE.

MarcE was a very prolific programmer of patches for the Yamaha EX5 (and the AN1x before that). In 2001 he fell quite ill and sold all his synths. In order to give something back to this person who had given the EX5 community so much, I organized a series of musical tributes where people in the EX5 community made songs using MarcE's patches and we delivered the music back to him.

You can read about the tributes here, which ran annually for five years, and I think stands as a testimony for the altruism and all that is good with the internet as means for bringing people together.

And all the music is freely available for inspiration.

The music an the community support I think did help MarcE; in 2012 he is still with us as he has a fighting spirit and the love of his family. I hope the thought that MarcE has been positive in his adversity might help you in some small way

Cheers
Derek

Finally to get aware that i cant earn the money necessary for a whole life (Now I am 50 years old, started with 14 ) At the end i had to make jobs that have to do younger ones or DJ (Fasching, Big Karneval ) Tomorrow i am in Heidelberg and they will try to detect what kind of cancer has destroyed my backbone.Certainly its located in the lung.
