any way the an1x you can set it to send and to respond to cc so why are you sending sysex data for control

sysex dumping really is good for dumping whole banks of patches or sequences

but if you are sending real time control mesages via sysex then thats why automation is going to slow down as sysex data is larger streams than cc and you could be overloading the uart with sysex data

and usualy with sysex data realtime control if you have a key pressed for a long time and use sysex to change the filter cutoff

it wont change until you re press key most of the time

im not saying it is rubbish it does work

but not having any manual on how to use it makes it rubbish for people who are trying to figure it out and cant get it to work

i dont have a problem with it but im used to the atari days so if you wanted something to work you wrote it so that it did work

and i like sounddiver been using it for years

but the problem realy lives with ambleton and people should petition them not to filter the events out for when you ar recording such messges for control of your said synth

im all for nice helpfull apps and free ones are better as they cost nothing

but for better developement and a good written manual the creator could charge for the manual as it takes lots of time in programing and expalining in text how todo things and it would help in creating more panels as people could take on the chalange

So I agree with you in most of the points.
Fore sure sound diver and i.e. AN1X Editor ...they all can handle Sysex.
But in Ableton Live there is one Bug: it Filter the Sysex data from external Keyboards. Everything you can change with CC is no problem. But it simply ignore changes via Sysex and you cant record knob movments.
Because they use it for internal stuff and to the speech with external Hardware Controller.
So you must have an "virtual Cable" to use it.
Ctrlr is one and an easy to use way to avoid the Problem.
Max for Live can handle sysex data for sure.
You have to use java and get an "cable" to MaxMSP. Then it works.
But there is no way to do this out of the box.
So Ctrlr can be very helpful if you unfamiliar with sysex data and a solution with the live bug.
I hope i have convince you that in this specific case its not rubbish.

ATOM working for years on this its only one guy and its totaly free !! Max for live fore sure is a good programm but you have to pay 200 Euro. And i buy it only to see that nobody can realy help u with Sysex !!! This works on Ctrlr out of the box......
