Subject: Instruments that can host a Yamaha PLG-50 AN board

In addition to the Motif series and AN200, the Yamaha CS6X keyboard and CS6R 2 space rack can accept the AN board. In fact the Yamaha CS6X and CS6R can accept 2 PLG boards.

The CS6X has more realtime controls than the CS6R but both have a logical programming interface at least with regard to the internal engine that plays back the sample waves in ROM.

You can only save edits you make on AN sounds as a file on a Smart Card. Also you need to save both the "ALL" file and the PLG data file in order to have your edits sound right.

The AN Power User guide is essential to understanding what is going on between the synth and the PLG card. If it isn't in our files section, I will post it later today.

There is a CS6R rack currently on Ebay for about $375 and they show up about once a month. I have a CS6R with the AN Plug In board and I love the filters and effects, but I just wish the PLG in card interface wasn't such a mess.
