Just fyi having replaced batteries on other synths previously - if you have
patches on your an1x you REALLY don't want to lose, id recommend buying a
cheap usb/midi cable (under $10 on evilbay) and just downloading them all to
an1xedit.
In theory, if you leave the machine on, your patches will not be lost, but
if it drops power or something shorts you could be totally messed over.
Just saying its $10 that's totally worth it for transferring patces and id
hate to lose some of mine....
