And if your AN1x is responding to volume from a Foot Volume pedal, it's also sending #7 via Midi Out. Hit the Device button (lower right of the Control Matrix) and select FV and see if it's set to "7:MainVol". If it isn't, use the Ctrl No button change it to "7:MainVol". If you want to use another controller - any of the knobs, wheels, etc - to control the EMU, select one of them with the Device button and set it to "7:MainVol" with the Ctrl No button.
The Vintage Keys should already be set up to receive volume control via controller #7. I don't have a Vintage Keys but my Proteus (normally run from a KX88 but sometimes from the AN1x) default volume control is #7. I can change the controller assignmnent on the Proteus; if your Vintage Keys isn't responding to #7 volume, maybe someone changed it. You should be able to set it to whatever you want. If you don't have a Vintage Keys manual, there should be one online.
