Well I found the problem I think.
At first I tried replacing the internal battery - it had been displaying battery low for almost a year. When I replaced it I didn't snap it in all the way. I feel like such a dope.
I do however have the infamous "crackles and pops" issue >_<
Thanks for all of your help, the guy I bought the synth from recommended this group. This places lives up to the hype and then some.
