I had a problum like this a whiles ago. the knob 4 on my AN1x became unsable & values would jump randomly all over the place.
turns out this is because the solder used on the knobs connection to the main board.
this was fixed by opening up the board, accessing the knobs, heating & removing the old solder on the faulty knob, then applying new solder to it.
since doing so, my knob 4 has worked like new without a single hicup, really made me fall in love with the AN1x again (been an AN owner since 1998)
