I'm sorry if I'm not replying to everyone since this topic is getting bigger and bigger :)
the point is that I don't ∗need∗ another synth, I have virtually no more room for synths in fact, and in theory I have most of synthesis methods covered... but I wouldn't mind another VA, for some reasons (osc sync, PWM, fm, etc.)... then, I could think of a solution for the 'no more room' problem... :)
the synth I'm looking for should be somehow similar to the OB12 in terms of features (and the an1x is), but also similarly user friendly...
when you have to settle with only a small amount of knobs, I feel like the synth loose a lot of its potential, because you almost 'forget' about possibilities (modulation routings etc.)...
now, the new ultranova has a few knobs and function buttons (just like the an1x), but at least the knobs are above the display, so that under each knob you can read what it is actually doing in that situation, and the values you're entering... visually that's a LOT better than the an1x, where you have not this facility at a glance (functions printed on the synth top panel are not the same!!!)
I know that some of you suggested to stay away from novation, but I should had stay away from the ob12 too, and I'm happy I didn't!
let's wait and see what comes up... anyway I know I may be looking for an an1x in the near future :)
