Subject: just changed my battery

Hey Group -

after successfully removing all 33 screws I popped in a new Energizer battery. I then turned the gain and offset pots all the way to the left to minimize aftertouch sensitivity, I had hoped. Closed it back up and everything worked fine. I definitely noticed I had to apply more pressure to get any aftertouch. I personally would disable it if I were able, as I use mine to mimic to synths from the 70's and 80's that didn't have aftertouch.

There is one glitch now though. When I use the Mod wheel now, the screen jumps to the screen that is brought up when I use the Assign 4 knob, the top right one. Screen would read "44: -------- ". The sound is not affected, other than the modulation I am applying, but this did not happen before. Could something be loose? Maybe a weak solder on the circuit board? I am not going to take it to a repair shop and I don't have the skills to fix it if it needs a solder. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I would let someone on this list local to me in the US Mid-Atlantic take a look at it if they thought they could fix it, I just don't have any funds to put into repairing something that is only an occasional minor nuisance.

thanks group
