This was a known fault on early models I believe. Does it do it more if you switch between scenes? What if you let it 'warm up' for 30 mins?
I did read someone on the web found some connections (on one of the ICs) was loose or something, may be worth opening it up to reseat CPU etc (if poss) and check it all. Try a new power supply (correct amps). If not then I guess it's the famous AN1x fault.

Help!
My beloved AN1X worked well for about 8 Years now, but in the last 6 month it starts making noises, like digital fragmentation, short blips and short noise sounds. The sound is still hearable, but more in the background.
When it started, the noises disappeared after a short while, but last week it lasteed throughout the session.
MIDI is still working, the display is fine, encoders are working.
I searched the board for the symtomps, but the results are quite disencourageing.
Any idea, if fixing is still provided by Yamaha?
Greetings,
tonmanns
