Jeff has given you the best answer. Save what you've got because you don't
know if it's been tweaked and it's just the factory names that are original.

One thing I might add is that there were more than one set of factory
patches. Probably doesn't apply to you but IIRC the European versions had
some completely different sets. If you dig around in the files section of
this you'll find the UK voice sets.

Subject: [AN1x] Time has come

Hi every AN-guy out there,

I'm sort of old newbie :) I proudly own the fantastic AN1X for about a year,
but am still experimenting, making just slow steps in its discovery. I have
neither modified any factory patch, nor used the computer editor. Yes, You
may smile now :) I'm not that computer nut young guy, and just ignored the
save-through facility, tweaking the synth in that old fashioned 70's style.
Anyway, yesterday my beloved AN1X showed me the "Battery Low" message. Time
has come.
I've got a specialist to exchange the batteries, but of course I'll lose the
patches. You may suppose, they are the original factory presets /Relaxx,
Terraform, etc/.
Now I'd like to ask for some assistance, guys. What do I need? Some simple,
commonplace pieces of information.
1. Which software should I use for dumping the patches? Your advice? Where
can I get it from? Is there a sort of universal software applicable for
other synths, too?
2. Where can I find a step-by-step description for saving/loading patches?
Sort of "Quick Sysex Tutorial for Dummies" :)
3. For any case, where can I find/download the original patches?

Any hint would be much appreciated

Thank You in advance for Your kind help and for maintaining this great
community!
Yours, Y
