Subject: AN1x driving AN200 - or vice versa? Or not?

Hello board,

I was so impressed with my AN200 I couldn't wait to acquire its big brother. Now I'm wondering how best to deploy them...

Keep them apart?

AN1x drives AN200? [seems a bit random and wonky, also a waste of the AN200's midi clock send/receive, shurely?]

AN200 drives AN1x? - yeah, drives it mad [albeit in very interesting ways].

Much manual reading and swotting up leaves me no wiser than before - except there are quite major differences between these boxes' capabilities and implementations, despite their common underlying technology.

What would ∗you∗ do with them? And, er, how?

At the moment I'm thinking to run them on separate midi ports, until I assemble a selection of sounds they can share/contrast with each other nicely, but a little inner voice keeps saying 'chain them together into a 15-note-poly AN supersynth, you tosser'.

So rude...tch.
