Hmm, if it's only the switch that is defunct, you could perhaps replace
it with a logical equivalent? It's a non-detented rotary-push switch
or sumthin' smuthin' right?

or perhaps ask your local yamaha repair center for say, part numbers /
spare part. Might help :D

(crap, I still need to send a mail to my yamaha repair center to get a
replacement cap)

Bourne's rotary switch, detented, with switch. Well, the detents can be
removed no prob..

Would be great if it's just something like that.
or well, maybe I've just been reading too much on the midibox forums and
way too much into the DIY zone with my head.
