I agree 100% Taking a bit off the bottom end is often the secret to
pads. It's really nice when synths let you run two filters in series
so you can do the normal low-pass filtering and then take just a
little off the bottom with a high-pass filter. This is part of the
secret to Roland pads a la Juno.
