Greetings:
As far as foot switches go, Yamaha does not care. It sets the state
of the contacts when the synth powers up. In case you ever had your
foot on the sustain when you powered up, you get the idea.
In any event, you can use a NO or an NC switch. The Volume/CC pedal
may be a different story though. I have not bothered to look.
