Nord and since it's not possible to stop the Yamaha from sending program changes I'm
stuck unless I use an external midi mapper. I've had lots of synths that lets the master
dictate the midi but the AN1X was probably never intended to be a controller so it's kind
of o.k. I still love its sounds.

Filtering Prgram Change messages is not a run of the mill feature. I've had sound modules
that allow you to remap Pgm chg, but I can't think of one that let you disable it entirely.
Typically you WANT your Master Keyboard to send Pgm Change. Your mileage may vary :-)
You might want to check out the offerings from MIDI Solutions and perhaps see if one of
their devices can sit in your MIDI chain from AN1x -> Nord and filter Pgm Chg. The URL is
http://www.midisolutions.com/products.htm

Anatek and Phil Rees use to make comparable boxes as to MIDI Solutions but no longer I
think.

You might consider a 2nd hand MIDI Patchbay or a multi-port MIDI Interface with event
filtering off eBay.

Or you could always take the poors mans way out and simply copy the same Patch on your
Nord to consecutive program slots so Pgm Change becomes irrelevant ;-)

Jon
