Odds are your AN1x will be fine.
We (members of the old Teklab AN1x-list) were never able to determine how many of were
adversely affected by the problem, but we believed it was limited to early production
models. No way to prove it one way or the other.
If it's any consolation, there are 1200+ subscribers to this (nearly) six year old AN1x-list
(we replaced the Teklab list) and the subject rarely comes up - once or twice a year from a
new owner of unit that has passed hands :-) It's a nice synth to play, sounds great -
particularly given it's vintage (hahahaha '97 hahahaha) - makes a decent controller
keyboards and offers many musical goodies to boot (step seq/arp, ribbon controller, Ctrl
Matrix, etc.)
Let us know how it goes when you take delivery of your AN1x.

Jon
