Thanks, but the ribbon cable works fine.
I found the cuprit though. I had the bottom off and held down a dead
note on a sustaining patch. When I wiggled the keyboard ribbon
connector header on to the small keyboard control board (the small
3x4" circuit board next to the mainboard)the note came back. It
appears that the solder joints to one of the connectors header is
loose; I can wiggle it more freely than the other one. Oh well, as I
type this I have a solder iron heating up! :)
