to find a version for OSX I´d be grateful as well... However, I´ve been told that the old OS9
programs can still be installed and run under the Classic Environment, even if the new
macs don´t have a separate start volume for OS9 anymore.
This is true for PowerPC based Macs that run Classic under OS X, but no longer true for the
new Intel based Macs - they do not support Classic apps.
I've run AN1xEdit under Classic along wiith OMS 2.3.8 within OS X 10.3.9 (Panther) and it
works perfectly. If you have a USB MIDI Interface (Emagic/MOTU/MIDIman) that has a
driver which is supported in OMS - then you can install under Classic, configure an OMS
Set-up, run AN1xEdit under Classic and the hardware (MIDI Interface) will be recognized.
Apple made some API change in the update from Jaguar to Panther which allows this to
work where as it did not under Jaguar and earlier OS X release levels. I've not tried this
under Tiger, but I don't see why it wouldn't still work. I hope to upgrade this spring/
summer to Tiger.
