Or, more accurately, it takes the limitation of Eurorack's bus CVs and
scales it across the whole system. How many voices do you support on
the bus? How many CVs per voice? How many audio-path routings? Can
multiple devices drive a shared line? If they do, is it passive mixing
or active summing? If the latter (meaning the output can't be directly
connected to the input,) does this enforce a "left-to-right" signal flow
across the system? If that doesn't suit the user's workflow, do they
have to split things off onto a whole separate bus? Who makes the call
on any of these matters, and whose particular use case/needs should
they be paying the most consideration to?

The complexity involved seems, to put it mildly, non-trivial.
