Eurorack already *has* control signals on the bus - and I don't know of
a single manufacturer that uses them outside of Doepfer, and even then
it's a gamble whether they feel that any particular module needs it. It
doesn't seem to be a thing that modular fiends really *want.*

(Also, the number of possible interconnections is ((N ^ 2) - N) / 2,
which means you either need a cable with an astronomically large number
of wires, or you have to created shared bus lines for specific signals,
which encodes fundamental constraints on voice architecture into the
format in a way that Eurorack doesn't.)
