I don't mean to throw the baby out with the bathwater here. A few of the Tab books I have are truly useful. The one on EPROMs was informative and I'm sure there were others. The noise level at Tab was a bit high, though, and the fun/dangerous stuff from Information Unlimited was really expensive. For me everything in those books was just a tease and it left a bad taste in my mouth. YMMV.
