Wow. I have Batz beat by a mile or at least a kilometer.

This reminded me of my favourite book I used to borrow (often) from the university of Delft EE library back in the early 1980’s. It was also by TAB Books, so they knew how to put out a good book too: Brice Ward - Electronic Music Circuit Guidebook.
Trust me, most of their books were outdated, a me-to copy of the previous book by that guy at Research Unlimited (?), enough know-how to be dangerous and/or straight up crap. The perfect marriage between exploitation and tech.
The local book fair had a huge pile of them that came from an auction somewhere. There were so many that they just gave them to a local charity that was asking a dollar apiece for them. I grabbed all of the books on electronics, lasers, Tesla coils, robotics etc. They were worth it for the price but...
Having said that, when they weren't selling the same Tesla coil or laser by "that guy" there were true gems in there. The best one that I have is on arc and oxyacetylene welding. Excellent and written by someone who knows their subject. If I ever need to use a torch I'll pull that one off the shelf.
