White jacks might be clear enough to
get the light through...
Why not make the hold in the panel
"keyhole" shaped... a large round
hole for the jack and a smaller
slot off the main hole
(think - Mandelbrot set :^)
for an LED to face forward.
If you would put them in ENOUGH
places you could make a small
PCB retained by the Banana jack
nut, that would align an SMT
LED forward through the hole.
Make a few hunderd PCBs and use them everywhere !
(Buy 'em, Serll 'em, Trade with your friends !!!
