[sdiy-interim] MIDI guitar, the hard way

not exactly. The current runs down the string and into
the fret, which is grounded. The idea is that the first
position that is grounded will get the lion's share of the
current and the secondary points (having more contact resistance)
will get a divided flow, less than the best contact.

I think Roland was 'building a fence' arounf their guitar synth
patent... trying to stop any possible workarounds.

In practice the system might work... otoh putting a current on
the string of any appreciable amount will make it hot, possibly
a shock hazard... and for sure it will make a click in your magnetic
pickups.

Do not try to use a DC current in the strings to directly induce a
voltage in an iron core coil (no magnets)... its not practical :^)
(I tried it)
